Can I convert my existing manual operated Genset to an auto start & auto stop generator?

– Yes, by adding a Gentel ATS panel the manual generator can be converted to an AMF Genset. The Genset will automatically start when there is a mains power outage and will stop upon restoration of the mains power supply.

Do I need to add a sensing line to the Gentel ATS panel?

– No external sensing lines are required to be added to the Gentel ATS panel, the ATS only needs 3 sets of power connections. Those are – the mains power cables, your Diesel Generator power cables & the load power cables.

Is the Genset started or stopped by the ATS panel?

– The Generator is started & stopped by the existing controller on the DG. The ATS panel facilitates the load to be shifted between the Mains supply & your Genset, depending upon the power availability.

My DG is an older model and the existing controller does not have an auto start or stop feature. Can I still convert my Genset to an AMF Genset?

– Yes, we have complete AMF panels with the ATS & controller ready to be installed for you. The cost of this panel is around 65% to 80% of the overall AMF panel cost, depending on your DG rating.

What saftey features are provided in the Gentel ATS panels?

– The ATS panel comes with a “phase reversal” & a “phase missing” saftey feature. The load will shift to the mains only if the mains supply is healthy, hence protecting your 3 phase equipment.

What is the IP protection rating of the Gentel ATS panel?

– The ATS panels conform to an IP53 rating and are meant for indoor requirements.

Does the panel have an in-built manual operation provision and bypass system ?

– Yes, in manual mode the load can be can be manually shifted to DG or mains using a hand lever. There is also a bypass position for maintenance purposes.

– These panels can be fitted to any & all brand or make of Genset.
