Automatic mains failure (AMF) panels, also referred to as automatic transfer switch (ATS) panels, make the power switch to your emergency standby generators in the event of a significant loss of power from the mains or a total blackout. Without AMF panels, generators need to be operated manually which is tedious & time-consuming, leading to data loss, damage to electrical equipment & overall disruptions. Organisations would need to manually switch over from the mains to their backup generator incase of a power failure, suffering a longer break in electricity & depending on manpower being available to carry out this task.

Monitoring the building’s incoming AC mains supply, AMF panels will immediately activate the standby generator when the mains power fails, automatically transferring the building’s load from the Mains power supply to the backup Generator after a 15 second warm-up. When the Mains supply returns, the AMF Panel controls a return to the Mains supply, shutting down the generator after a suitable cooling run.
